Arely gave an awesome rotation talk today and will be finishing off in the lab tomorrow. Arely bravely took on a project that was a very new angle in the lab. She decided to investigate the role of a long non-coding RNA (that we are studying in the context of human steroidogenesis) in melanoma based on some interesting observations regarding it highly specific expression in melanoma cells.
We've been luck to have her as long as we did - thanks to the RBI summer internship program. This afternoon we went to the Stanley Beer Hall to have lunch and celebrate. We wish her all the best in her upcoming rotations in the Reis lab and yet to be determined lab!
