Jill and I are going to our first, but the 18th Adrenal Cortex conference. This is pretty exciting because we will be able to interface with a more clinical crowd. Our goal is to A) learn more about clinically relevant concerns surrounding steroidogenesis, and B) share our approaches to understanding the molecular basis of human steroidogenesis.
Big congrats to Jill for winning a trainee travel grant from the organizers. She will be presenting a poster on her project investigating lncRNAs regulating human adrenocortical steroidogenesis.
I will be giving a talk about our labs interest in RNA regulatory dynamics controlling steroidogenesis. It's funny - in my five years in Germany as a postdoc I never made it to Munich! To make it even more exciting our trip will be smack dab in the middle of the World Cup. The locals will be going crazy for Die Mannschaft!
